Description

ruby1.8dev package only install ruby 1.8.6 on hardy, which wasn't backwards compatible with 1.4.x of rubygems. Copied and modified ubuntu10.04-gems template for 8.04 using rubygems 1.3.7

I'm resolving this ticket as fixed because it contains a patch. In the future, please remember to resolve tickets as fixed when you provide a solution. This way we can find tickets with resolutions and add them to the project.

We're going to create a 'knife-bootstrap' project in CHEF-2348 to hold this sort of thing and we will look at this further then.
