libuuidtools-ruby=2.0.0-1 is in in debian squeeze + sid.

Provided we don't need 2.1.1 for any particular reason (latest gem on rubyforge) we should be all set, short of possibly backporting this package on apt.opscode.com

  • fixed issue with Ruby 1.9 compatibility
    == UUIDTools 2.1.0
  • completely reworked the MAC address detection code
  • added additional parsing methods

From the changelog, those aren't concerns that would block 0.8 so we'll be safe with 2.0.0.
