Ability to load roles,cookbooks,recipes and/or attribute files into Shef Standalone

Shef looks to be an awesome tool to help develop and debug cookbooks. It would be great if it was easy to load anything from a role, to a whole cookbook, to individual recipes or attribute files in Shef standalone mode. That would help to do incremental cookbook development on a dev machine. I can see using Shef to try things out and also explore Chefisms before deploying to a client.
