Description

A software distributed in package form that does not result in a AppName.app will be re-run every time chef-client runs.

One such software is vagrant - http://vagrantup.com - which, once installed, becomes a directory in /Applications.

Mike Fiedler - Is this just with .dmg's that install a .mpkg/.pkg? Can you try with the latest version of the cookbook (v1.0.0)?
