When I have knife[:winrm_attribute] = 'cloud.public_ipv4' in my .chef/knife.rb
and and run knife winrm ':'
Then connections should be made to the cloud.public_ipv4 instead of the 'fqdn' of the node.

knife[:winrm_password] would be nice as well 8) so I don't have to put my password on the command line every time

I'm resolving this ticket as fixed because it contains a patch. In the future, please remember to resolve tickets as fixed when you provide a solution. This way we can find tickets with resolutions and add them to the project.
