When trying to upload cookbooks check_server_side_cookbooks throws exception

Running 'knife cookbook upload -a' the first time worked for a few cookbooks but but didn't upload all of them, only a few showed up on the server. Now running the command for a single cookbook or for all regardless I get the 'each for nil:NilClass' error. It's not clear why this is happening.
